    About

    Susan Sholar has spent over 49 years in the pet care industry, working in various roles including veterinarian technician, grooming salon owner, and president of the California Federation of Dog Clubs, where she influenced animal-related legislation. She founded the California College of Pet Careers, judged AKC dog shows, developed the AKC S.A.F.E. Groomers/Salon Certification program, and now serves as the AKC delegate for the Black Russian Terrier Club of America, dedicating her career to improving standards and education in pet care and grooming.
